Blogger set up

We have had the students blogging for the last 3 weeks, specifically about their days work.
We have moved to the next step and introduced the use of pages and labels.
Pages we will use for students to enter information that they are unable to gain evidnce during house build for example Piles.
Labels used on posts to quickly format them under a common theme. To aid the lecturer on the gathering of evidence.

New semester started yesterday.

• Introduced students to project based learning and the use of technology in the course
• Interesting to note that not all students had IPhones or andriods and that there were only a couple who had Ipods
• set up Gmail accounts for all students and then hooked up to Blogger, again 3 students unable to log onto blogger.

This blog is going to record the progress of the UCOL Carpentry Team through their journey into the world of using Web 2.0 tools in the classroom , and turning the Level 4 programme into a practical evidence based student centered experience.
